VOIR -collective, a poetic resting place
A poetic resting place along the “Art Street” of Jyväskylä, at the Writer’s House, reserved for any and all cultural cats in leisure – what better? The VOIR-collective participates in Yläkaupungin Yö 2024 with poetry, music, sit up comedy and visual artistry. During the Writer’s House afternoon the guests will get to enjoy a show of poetry and music under the theme “A Look into the Well”, and in accordance with the spirit of the theme, we’re also offering a game of “fishing” (a very feline leisure) for a poem, and receive a personalised written or spoken verse. In the lobby, there will be an installation art piece, “Yläkaupungin kissat” (The Cats of Uppertown). Another piece of installation art is on the lowest floor, a hologram movie called “Advice from the past for the future” (Taipale, 2018).
